Profile Description
Dr Priyal Sheth Mehta completed her BDS from M.A. Rangoonwala Dental College and Research Centre, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in 2016 and was awarded the “Best Outgoing Student”. She went on to pursue her Master’s in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry from A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore and was awarded the prestigious “Dr. A. K. Munshi Endowment Gold Medal for Best Outgoing Student”, 2020. With a keen interest in comprehensive oral rehabilitation of children with special health care needs, she now works as a consultant pediatric dentist with a Cleft & Craniofacial Unit at a Cleft Leadership Centre for Smile Train in Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Bangalore headed by Dr Krishnamurthy B. She dreams of a day when there will be caries-free cleft children by inculcating the Dental Home concept in their treatment protocol. She is a life member of Indian Society of Pedatric and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD), Federation of Special Care Dentistry (FSCD) and Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies (ISCLPCA). She is also inclined towards conducting extensive research to improve and implement dental care measures in children with cleft and craniofacial anomalies.
